Construction Underway on 60MW Wind Farm in Italy

Glennmont Partners is progressing the development of a 60MW wind farm in the Basilicata Region of Southern Italy. The wind farm comprising of 20 turbines to be supplied by Siemens Wind Power is located 10km North-East of Melfi village. The project is one of the largest wind farms being built at the moment in Italy in one of the windiest areas of the country.

The project is being constructed by Siemens S.p.A and Pizzulo Costruzioni S.r.l, with Progetto Energia srl providing regulatory roles and Milan based Montana S.pA providing the construction management services under the supervision of Glennmont Partners.

Construction began on site in September 2015 with a programmed completion of the project in September 2016. Progress to date has included construction of access roads, wind turbine foundations and export cable laying.

Wind turbine components are due to arrive at site in April 2016.
