Glennmont is very aware of the distributed nature of renewable energy power projects and the importance of embedding these within the local community. The Glennmont commitment to being an active member of local communities as energy provider is a core part of our ESG strategy.
Glennmont is delighted that its commitment to ESG has been recognised. The Sleaford Renewable Energy Plant has been awarded the prestigious Community Business Award by the North Kesteven District Council. During the decision-making process, the award panel considered the following contributions:
– Sustainability
– Innovation and initiative
– Impact of the project on the wider community
– Whether or not the project acted above and beyond the call of duty
– Aspects of business endeavour
The award was presented to Murray Paterson of Glennmont Partners and David Spilsbury of Eco2 at the Community Award presentation which took place in Navenby on the 10th of September. The award and certificate will be kept on display at Sleaford.
In the award citation, the impact of Sleaford REP on employment, community funding, educational programmes and public art were all highlighted. A short video of the plant featuring Darren Smith was also shown to the audience.
We are very proud of the high standard that Glennmont have set and endeavour to keep it up.
