July 1, 2013

Glennmont Partners has become a signatory, in the category of Investment Manager, to the United Nations-supported Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI). The team has approved the Principles and has committed to taking part in the PRI’s annual Reporting and Assessment.

Glennmont CEO Joost Bergsma stated “As a leading fund manager in the renewable energy sector, we have responsibilities to many stakeholders: our investors, our partners, the communities within which we invest and our staff. We believe that adding tangible social and economic value underpins the sustainability of returns over the long term. Signing up to the PRI is a natural fit with our investment philosophy to build enduring value for stakeholders.”

Becoming a signatory means that, where consistent with our fiduciary responsibilities, Glennmont Partners commits to the following:
1: We will incorporate ESG issues into investment analysis and decision-making processes.
2: We will be active owners and incorporate ESG issues into our ownership policies and practices.
3: We will seek appropriate disclosure on ESG issues by the entities in which we invest.
4: We will promote acceptance and implementation of the Principles within the investment industry.
5: We will work together to enhance our effectiveness in implementing the Principles.
6: We will each report on our activities and progress towards implementing the Principles.
