Our founding members share more than 40 years’ experience in renewable energy. The specialist investment team has been carefully selected for their proven, complementary skills – ranging from technical and developmental through M&A and project finance, to operations and asset management in our four focus technologies: wind, solar, biomass and small hydro.
Between us, we have unrivalled access to all key stakeholders within the alternative energy market, such as developers, equipment manufacturers and debt capital providers. With multiple nationalities on the team – speaking a wide range of European languages – we excel at building true, long-term partnerships. This powerful blend of know-how and networks positions us to guide investors, proactively drive solutions and deliver sustained performance with integrity.
Joost is a founding partner and CEO of Glennmont Partners. He is a member of the Investment Committee and the Asset Management Committee.
Joost is involved in originating new deals and also in the negotiations of some of the funds’ key investment and exit transactions. He is a board member of a number of portfolio companies, including the Gode Wind Offshore Wind Investment in Fund III. Joost is responsible for overseeing and implementing Glennmont’s strategy development alongside the other partners and works closely with Glennmont’s clients.
He has more than 16 years’ experience in energy and power utilities transactions across the value chain, in Europe and emerging markets. Prior to joining Glennmont, Joost held a series of senior positions in asset management and investment banking at BNP Paribas, ABN AMRO and SG Warburg & Co.
Joost read Law at Leiden University and has an MBA from INSEAD.
Peter is a founding partner and director of Glennmont Partners.
Peter is a Chartered Engineer and is particularly interested in the technical performance and governance of the Funds and both in the construction stage and in operations.
Peter has worked in renewable energy for 20 years. In that time, he has developed, invested in and constructed renewable energy generation projects with UK Utilities and with private developers. Peter has worked as a consultant, where he acted on behalf of investors to carry out due diligence activities on a number of both conventional and renewable power plant acquisitions. He has worked extensively across Europe and Asia and spend a period on secondment to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan as part of the UN Development Programme.
Francesco joined Glennmont Partners in 2009 and is responsible for the fund’s investment, fund raising and financial performance.
He has more than 16 years’ experience in the energy sector, 13 of which spent in renewable energy.
Before joining the team, Francesco spent three years at Oxara Energy Group (part of the Fleming Family and Partners group), one of Europe’s first private equity funds to specialise in renewable energy. During his career he successfully led the origination and execution of several investments in wind, solar, biomass and gas-fired plants across Europe. He is also responsible for developing these projects into operating assets, managing the fund accounts and investors.
Francesco holds a BA in Finance and Accounting from Bocconi University (Italy), a Masters in Finance from London Business School and is a CIMA-qualified management accountant (ACMA). In addition, he is a charterholder of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®).
Scott is a founding partner of Glennmont Partners, leads all of the firm’s solar initiatives and is actively involved in new financing initiatives.
Scott has worked in renewable energy power generation for more than a decade, leading many of the investments across Glennmont’s fund platform. Prior to founding Glennmont Partners, Scott was the co-founder and director of Windsor Alternative Investments – a company formed to finance and develop solar power plants in Europe. Before focusing on renewable energy, Scott was involved in private equity acquisitions and debt capital finance for commercial real estate transactions in Europe and the United States.
Jordi joined Glennmont Partners in 2011 and is responsible for the fund’s asset management and operations. He is also the Chief Risk Officer of the firm.
Jordi leads his team providing strategic direction to the portfolio; leading on any material contractual challenges, assisting with acquisitions and their incorporation into the portfolio, sitting on most of the project company boards, overseeing governance for the wholly owned projects and regularly reporting to the management committees and non-executive board.
He has more than 18 years’ experience in the energy sector, 11 of which spent in renewables. Before joining the team, Jordi spent 10 years at Royal Dutch Shell, the world’s second largest independent energy company.
Jordi holds BAs in Finance and Economics from Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Catalonia, Spain) and an MSc in Environmental Economics from University of London.
Henrik joined Glennmont Partners in 2010 and is an Investment Director.
His primary focus is clean energy investing, where he oversees the overall delivery of the investment strategy and leads individual acquisitions.
Henrik has more than 14 years’ experience in the renewable energy sector. Before joining Glennmont, he spent five years in advisory working with a number of renewable energy project developers and investment funds. Henrik began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Germany, focusing on tax structures for corporate and private clients.
Henrik holds a degree in Legal Studies from the University of Lüneburg in Germany and an MBA from the University of Buffalo in the United States.
Claudio joined Glennmont Partners in 2010 and is Managing Director, heading up the company’s Credit Fund business.
Claudio has more than 15 years’ experience in the renewable energy sector, having operated both as an equity investor and a project financier. He started his career as an adviser to banks at a risk management boutique, worked for KPMG (Milan) in their financial services division, joined the international management programme at Fortis Bank specialising in the energy sector (Paris, Brussels, Rotterdam and Milan) and worked for BNP Paribas, first in their project finance team and then in their clean energy fund (London).
Claudio holds Masters degrees in Economics and Business Administration from the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice (Italy) and has spent an academic semester at the Jonkoping Business School (Sweden). As recognition for his academic contribution, Claudio has been nominated Associate Fellow by Oxford Saïd Business School.
Jerome joined Glennmont Partners in 2015 and is currently responsible for the funds’ divestment activities.
He has more than 13 years’ experience in the renewable energy sector, both as an investor and at a European project developer as head of financing and M&A. Before joining the renewable energy sector, Jerome advised public and private clients on infrastructure projects and worked in the environment sector for a large utility.
Jerome holds a Masters in Finance from Montpellier University and an MBA from HEC Paris.
Isabel joined Glennmont in 2019 as an Investment Director focused on the fund’s investment and development initiatives in Southern European countries.
Having worked in the renewable energy industry for more than 10 years, Isabel brings worldwide experience in structuring project financing, M&A and exit transactions in renewable energy projects.
Throughout her career, Isabel has been involved in all aspects of investment, ranging from origination to deal execution and disposals, as well as overseeing the development of onshore wind projects from greenfield to operational stage. Before joining Glennmont, Isabel held senior investment positions in London and Madrid in project financing and M&A teams, most notably Acciona, EDF Renewables and Envision.
Isabel holds an MSc in Civil and Structural Engineering and a Masters in Project Management from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, as well as completing an executive development programme from the IESE business school.
Fabian joined Glennmont Partners in 2021 as the Head of APAC. Prior to joining, Fabian worked at BayWa r.e. in Asia. where he led the expansion of the Project Development and Project Management activities in the region, including launching operations in South Korea, Taiwan and Vietnam, and expanding in Indonesia, Philippines and Malaysia. Before BayWa r.e. he worked for Jinko Power in Asia where he started the Japanese team from scratch and acquired, implemented and sold the initial solar PV projects in the country, and for Canadian Solar International, where he started the Project business in Japan that resulted in a pipeline of more than 300MWp of solar PV projects under development in the initial 18 months. At Canadian Solar, he also launched the Global C&I business. Before moving to Asia, he was an Investment Banker in London with Merrill Lynch International and Macquarie Capital Europe in the Energy, Infrastructure and Real Estate business. Fabian holds an MBA from New York University, a MSc in Sustainable Energy Futures from Imperial College London and a BS in engineering from Universidad de Buenos Aires.
Murray joined the team at the beginning of 2015 with particular focus on leading the UK Biomass portfolio.
He has extensive experience in leading asset management, operations, commercial and regulatory activities at a senior level in the energy related businesses.
Having been involved in the energy sector for over 20 years his career has spanned senior roles across transportation, distribution and generation businesses. Murray brings senior leadership experience to the team and leads on asset related stakeholder engagement for the Biomass portfolio as well as on complex high value negotiations.
Murray holds a BEng Degree in Engineering, is a Chartered Engineer and along with having an MBA is a Member of the Institute of Directors.
Pierre joined Glennmont Partners in 2021 as Head of Revenue, with a focus on driving the power sale strategies and processes across assets under management and prospective deals.
He has more than 12 years of experience in the carbon and power markets, having contributed to pioneering business models within SG CIB, Solvay, Lightsource BP or GE. In the past years he has been developing some power-market-revenue solutions to secure revenue generation from renewable assets, such as PPA structures with corporate offtakers or utilities.
Pierre holds an MBA from INSEAD and a Master from the Sorbonne University of Paris
Dries is a highly accomplished renewable energy executive with leadership experience and industry network across North America, Latin America and Europe. He joined Glennmont Partners in 2022 as the Head of US and to his role, he brings a background including over a decade of solar and energy storage experience and 3GW of successfully closed M&A and financing transactions in the US.
Prior to joining Glennmont Partners, Dries served as founding member and Managing Director – M&A and Finance at Origis Energy, a leading US solar and energy storage development firm. Dries was instrumental in the successful entry of the firm in the US market and in this role he led the origination, structuring, acquisition and financing of over $3BN of renewables projects. In a prior role at Origis, Dries served as the Managing Director for Latin America, leading the firm’s expansion of regional operations and successfully realizing 200 MW of solar developments. His investment banking experience includes roles at Morgan Stanley and JPMorgan Chase & Co.
Dries holds a Masters degree in Mathematics & Computer Engineering from the Catholic University Leuven and a Masters degree in Applied Economics with a specialization in Finance.
