Title: Managing Partner / CEO
As founding partner and CEO of Glennmont Partners, Joost has been involved in negotiations of some of the fund’s key wind and solar transactions. He is actively involved in originating new deals through the fund’s development partners, and regularly speaks at conferences and industry events.
Joost has more than 12 years’ experience in energy and power utilities transactions across the value chain, in Europe and emerging markets. In this time, he has devised and implemented asset and exit strategies, raising in excess of EUR 10bn of sales proceeds for energy clients. His CV includes long periods at BNP Paribas (formerly ABN AMRO) and SG Warburg & Co.
As founding partner and technical director of Glennmont Partners, Peter is responsible for the technical aspects of all investments. He also acts as an investment director, leading the fund’s investment in the Sleaford biomass plant, a deal that closed in December 2011.
Peter has worked in renewable energy for 14 years. In that time, he has developed, invested in and constructed renewable energy generation projects with Hyder PLC and United Utilities Green Energy Ltd. As a consultant, Peter acted on behalf of investors to carry out due diligence activities on a number of both conventional and renewable power plant acquisitions. His international experience includes a secondment to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan as part of the UN Development Programme.
Francesco Cacciabue, CFA
Title: Partner / CFO
Francesco joined Glennmont Partners in 2009 and is responsible for the fund’s investment and financial performance. He has more than thirteen years’ experience in energy sector of which eight in renewable. Before joining the team he spent four years at Oxara Energy Group (part of the Fleming Family and Partners group), one of Europe’s first private equity funds to specialise in renewable energy. During his career he successfully led the origination and execution of several investments in wind, solar, biomass and gas-fired plants across Europe. He is also responsible for developing these projects into operating assets, managing the fund accounts and investors.
Francesco holds a BA in Finance and Accounting from Bocconi University (Italy), a Masters in Finance from London Business School and he is a CIMA qualified management accountant (ACMA). In addition, he is a charterholder of Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®).
Scott is a founding Partner of Glennmont Partners. He leads all of the firm’s solar initiatives and is actively involved in new financing initiatives. Scott has worked in renewable energy power generation for more than a decade, leading many of the investments across Glennmont’s fund platform. Prior to founding Glennmont Partners, Scott was the co-founder and director of Windsor Alternative Investments: a company formed to finance and develop solar power plants in Europe. Before focusing on renewable energy, Scott was involved in private equity acquisitions and debt capital finance for commercial real estate transactions in Europe and the United States.
Title: Executive Assistant
Natalie joined the team as office manager and PA to the Partners in May 2013 from BNP Paribas where she had worked for just under 2 years. Natalie has over 14 years experience as a PA, Project Assistant, office manager and event’s organiser. Natalie is responsible for organising all the administrative activities, managing the office and providing support to the partners. She organises all corporate events and provides support on all Glennmont projects.
Title: Head of Asset Management
Jordi joined the team in April 2011 bringing to the team over 13 years of international Financial and business experience in Energy sector and specifically in renewable energy development, operation, maintenance, due diligence, advisory and asset management experience to the company.
Prior to joining the company, he worked at Royal Dutch Shell Plc in the Downstream, Upstream and Clean energy businesses.
Jordi has developed monitoring tools to measure both technical and financial performance versus budgets ensuring that Glennmont Partners are always fully informed about asset performance
Jordi holds BS of both Economics and Business Administration from University Pompeu Fabra in Spain. In 2014 he completed an MSc in Applied Environmental Economics at the University of London.
Title: Investment Director
Jerome joined Glennmont Partners’ investment team in 2015, bringing over 15 years of experience in structuring projects in the renewable energy and the infrastructure sectors. Prior to joining Glennmont Partners, Jerome successfully led the origination and execution of numerous financing and M&A transactions for a European wind project developer. Before that, Jerome was in charge of financial advisory mandates on PPP/PFI transactions in the transport and environment sectors for PricewaterhouseCoopers. He started his career at Suez Environement as a Financial Controller for Latin America operations.
Title: Investment Director
Henrik has over 10 years of experience in clean energy investment and advisory working with a number of renewable energy project developers and investment funds. He has worked on numerous investments in wind, solar and biomass across Europe. Henrik was involved in all aspects of investing, ranging from transaction origination to deal structuring, the negotiation of acquisition and project agreements, project financing and exits. Henrik began his career at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Germany, focusing on tax structures for corporate and private clients. Henrik holds a degree in Legal Studies from the University of Lueneburg in Germany and an MBA from the University at Buffalo in the United States.
Title: Investment Director
Claudio has more than 13 years of experience in private equity, international banking and strategic consultancy, including ten years in renewable energy. Prior to joining the fund, Claudio worked in the Energy & Utilities department of Fortis Bank where he advised and structured project financings for on-shore and off-shore wind farms, solar pv parks as well as conventional power plants in Europe and emerging markets. Claudio joined the bank through the international program for high potentials, which lead to working in several departments of the group (strategy and business development, risk, and principal investments) in the UK, Belgium, Italy, and the Netherlands. Claudio began his career at KPMG Advisory in Milan, where he advised financial institutions in strategic decisions and risk management interventions. Claudio lectures in project finance and investment techniques for MBAs and Masters in Finance in the UK and Italy and was given the title of Associate Fellow for academic merits by the Oxford Said Business School.
Title: Technical Manager
Geoff joined Glennmont Partners in 2013, bringing to the team over 20 years of international technical experience in renewable energy development, operation, maintenance, due diligence, advisory and asset management experience to the company with experience in Solar, Wind, Hydro (large and small scale) and Biomass technologies. Geoff works within the Asset Management Team of Glennmont Partners, responsible for the technical issues on the operational plants in the fund and also overseeing the construction projects within the fund.
Title: General Manager UK Biomass
Murray joined the team at the beginning of 2016 as General Manager UK Biomass working within the Asset Management team.
Murray has extensive experience in leading and managing ‘asset management’, ‘operations’ and ‘commercial’ activities at senior levels in the energy related businesses. Having been involved in the energy sector for over 20 years, spanning both transportation and generation businesses, he brings to the team senior leadership experience across generation portfolios.
Murray holds a BEng Degree in Engineering Technology from the Robert Gordons University, is a Chartered Engineer and holds a Master In Business Administration from Southampton University.
Jay joined Glennmont Partners in late 2017 with more than five years of experience in renewable energy sector. Prior to joining Glennmont Partners, Jay was an Associate Director in the Power & Utilities M&A team at KPMG in London. In this role Jay advised utilities, strategics, and private equity and hedge funds on offshore wind, onshore wind and solar M&A transactions. His time at KPMG included a 7-month industry secondment to the Power Business Development Team at Centrica Energy where Jay was a Business Development Manager responsible for the appraising of investment opportunities and driving key offshore wind divestments. Prior to KPMG, Jay worked in the Natural Resources M&A team at Rothschild in Sydney, Australia where he provided strategic, financial and capital markets advice to clients in the global mining sector. Jay began his career advising on PPP/PFI transactions in Australia
Roberto joined Glennmont’s investment team in 2015. Prior to joining the fund, Roberto worked for Antin Solar Investments, successfully contributing to the first of its kind refinancing transaction, and in the M&A division of Rothschild where he was involved in several clean energy transactions.
Alberto joined Glennmont in 2016 after 5 years of experience in the energy industry. Prior to Glennmont, he worked for E.ON’s strategy consulting arm and on the utility’s carve-out. Before E.ON he worked for a special situations boutique advising oil and gas companies, including BP on its Deepwater Horizon financial estimation and provisioning. His career began at Deloitte, focusing on tax structures for corporate and private clients.
Ruth joined Glennmont Partners in January 2018. Prior to joining the Fund, she worked in business development within an infrastructure and private equity investment manager. Ruth holds an MSc in Finance from London Business School and is both a chartered financial analyst and a chartered professional accountant.
Title: Asset Engineer
Nik joined Glennmont’s asset management team in 2014, bringing over 7 years of experience in renewable energy technical advisory and due diligence. He is involved in the management of construction and operational assets in the company’s wind and solar power generation portfolio. He is responsible for coordinating work from external advisors, providing electrical and SCADA technical expertise, and improving portfolio monitoring and reporting.
Title: Biomass Asset Engineer
Manuel joined Glennmont as Biomass Asset Engineer in 2016. He is a Chartered Mechanical engineer with over 12 years of experience in international power projects working both on renewables and conventional plants. In his career he worked in the maintenance department, as a process and commissioning engineer and as a Lenders Technical Advisor on power projects with knowledge of project finance. He is involved in the management of construction and operational assets in the company’s biomass power generation portfolio. He is responsible for coordinating work from external advisors and improving portfolio monitoring and reporting.
Title: Asset Engineer
Sara joined Glennmont as an Asset Engineer in 2018. She is a Mechanical engineer and Project Management Professional (PMP) with over 12 years of experience in renewables. Her roles have principally been as a Construction Project Manager and Asset Manager for operational assets. She is involved in the management of the construction and operational assets in the company and responsible for coordinating work from external advisors, optimising the performance of the assets and improving the portfolio monitoring and reporting.
Title: Financial Controller
Marta joined Glennmont’s Asset Management Team in early 2017 and is responsible for internal monitoring of the investments and oversees the commercial aspects of the assets. Marta is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and has several years of experience in private equity fund administration.
Title: Compliance Officer / Financial Controller
Toby joined the team in January 2019. He works within the Asset Management Team and has a broad range of responsibilities covering financial management and compliance. He oversees all the funds at Glennmont as well as managing the internal corporate businesses. Toby is also the firm’s Compliance Officer and Money Laundering Reporting Officer.
Prior to joining Toby was at PwC for over 6 years and managed a large portfolio of clients in the private equity space. Here he assisted them in their Financial Reporting, Operations and Governance. Toby is a Chartered Accountant with the ICAEW and holds a BSc in Biology.
Title: Financial Analyst
Alexandra joined Glennmont’s Asset Management Team in 2018 and is responsible for supporting external reporting and internal monitoring of the funds, as well maintaining fund models current. She holds an MSc in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics. Prior to joining Glennmont Partners, Alexandra has several years of work experience in private equity fund administration, and is a part qualified Chartered Global Management Accountant under CIMA.
Awa joined Glennmont’s team in June 2018. Prior to Glennmont, she worked for Société Générale CIB as an Infrastructure Project Finance Analyst in London. Before moving to London, she had several experiences in Project Finance and Structured Finance in France, notably with HSBC, CA-CIB and Coface.
Alfred joined Glennmont’s team in January 2017. He worked for a sustainability-focussed asset management advisory firm, Inflection Point Capital Management, prior to Glennmont. He studied for an MSt at the University of Oxford and a BA at New College of the Humanities.
Marcello joined Glennmont Partners in 2017 and is currently working within the Investment Team. Before moving to London, he had worked for Amundi in the Investment Management division and for Mediobanca in the Energy M&A team. He holds an MSc in Finance and a BSc in Economics and Finance from Bocconi University.
Kevin joined Glennmont Partners in July 2018 and is currently working within the Investment Team. Prior to Glennmont, he worked for EY in the Transaction Advisory Services division in Paris, where he specialised in financial modelling and analytics.
Agata joined Glennmont at the beginning of 2018. Agata provides support to the Office Manager and Partners, as well as to the investment and asset management teams. She has almost a decade of experience working in the publishing and hospitality industry, and holds a BS of Business English and an MA in English Written Translation from the University College of Foreign Languages in Czestochowa, Poland.
